I have a 30' by 200' section of wooded land just off to the side of my yard that has been chopped and cleared, and grown over several times over the last twenty years. Now I want to clear and level it to make it part of the yard and to allow for better septic system drainage. Plus, the ground around the septic laterals has sunk, creating low spots all over the place. At this stage I have most of weeds cut out and branches removed. I pulled every little tree root I could find (about 20 of those suckers.) and am in the process of removing a big oak tree stump. My question is how should I proceed? I was thinking about plowing it over with my little Cub, disking it and smoothing it out. But I've never done this so I'm really shooting from the hip. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help, Chris Bean
