Don't assume you're paranoid. Changing the fluid doesn't always correct the trans shudder. If your truck is still under warranty, make sure you document the problem with Ford. Why? Good chance you will continue to have the problem and it will likely get worse. My '97 had the shudder and the trans eventually went out and had to be rebuilt. Trans shudder is a common problem over several model years of the F-series trucks. I could make it shudder by driving at a very easy acceleration and at around 45mph it would do it for a couple of seconds. Would not do it under "normal" acceleration. (at least not how I drive!) Seems to me it was between 3rd & 4th gear. Don't know which tranny you have, but for mine everyone said to stay with the MerconV. Go to f150online (add the www and dot coms) and do a search on transmission shudder and read the various posts.
