bill, i just had to do the same thing to mine!!! i have a ford 531, which has very litte ground clerance, i took some 3/8" plate steel and made a skid plate for protection of my oil pan,i just took some measurements and found bolts that i could remove and fabricate brackets to and weld to the plate, that can be removed with ease, i do not know if 3/8" plate will be sufficient for you, depending on your weight??? brian
