This question relates to cars more so than tractors, but I figure most tractor owners/drivers also have a car! My Dad would always purchase the same oil brand when he changed his oil (Havolene as I recall). He was adament about the same brand for the life of the car. On the other hand, my Uncle would simply purchase any name brand oil (of the correct weight) that was on sale. I don't think either of the two kept the same car long enough to prove anything one way or the other. Now, this same discussion/argument has raised it's ugly head among my son-in-laws. Can someone shed some some thoughts, insight, and/or arguments about the matter?? Thanks!
