I have a Farmall Super C tractor that I am looking into adding a belt drive above the regular PTO shaft on the rear to drive a small hammer mill to grind corn for my wife"s chickens. I found one on ebay for sale near to me, but I wonder if the gear is already in my tractor that drives the belt drive attachment? There is just a cast iron plate above the PTO shaft now, and it is shaped like it might fit over that drive gear. Were these gears put on the drive shaft from the factory in case a dealer added the belt drive unit? Or will I probably need both? Don Mountain
