1466 tranny in 1566

My brother in law is looking to put a 1466 4 speed transmission in a 1566. He loves his 1566, but doesn't like the 3 speed. Is this possible and if so, can it handle the power of a 1566? Is the 4 speed going to make the tranny the weakness in the power train?
