I think your throw out bearing should move ahead farther than you describe. Also check the reman pressure plate VERY close. I have had 3 bad pressure plates from CaseIH. It is easy not to give them a thought since they are "new". 2 had bad splines and 1 had worn out square holes that let the pressure plate hit the flywheel when you pushed the clutch in which caused a loud rumble. We split it 5 times before we figured it out. Just some ideas.
