That ain't a stupid question. You can get new PTO seals from Bermuda Ken. I suggest you get two and also a new seal base gasket. H takes 6 gallons of 90W or 85W140. To check, there is a nut on the clutch side. If fluid drains out then you got enough. It is in front of the pedal just before you get to the clutch housing assembly. That BIG OL NUT just right of the steering post and underneath the control panel is where you fill. Just left of the left brake pedal. Use a 3/4 inch rachet head to unscrew it. You might want to clean around it first. It attracts dirt.
