If you have dependents, you should fully fund your disabilty and life insurance policies. Do you know anyone on this board who will notify us where to send the letters of sympathy or condolence? The lower chord of a truss is not designed for suspended loads. You need to look at some sites that manufacture or sell trusses and read the engineering data. That should be enough to dissuade you from this folly. Build a gantry crane with structural steel and 4000 lb trollies if you want to split a tractor hanging from a hook.
