You're in good company here - some of the guys just don't want to own up to their idiocy. Try Tales for some amusing examples of Murphy's law at work. These old tractors are dirt simple, made to be run and fixed by fairly unsophistocated folks. If you can find and read a manual, and follow simple directions you'll be fine.

You guys are great help! I found the manual where you suggested...THANKS!!...already learned some things and havent even laid hands on the iron since I read the manual. I cant wait to dive in. I never imagined my next custom restore would be a tractor!!! I have done cars, trucks, motorcycles and boats...HAHA!...now a tractor may solidify my place in internal combustion powered vehicle heaven!!! WOOHOO!! (I like to cut up a bit too!) Thanks again, and I look forward to many more answers from you guys. I will get pictures if you are interested. Dave
