No specific bleed procedure on the LT1 5.7 which means leave the radiator cap off and bring to normal operating temp and air bleeds out the cap opening.
As long as water pump is off,I'd be enticed to replace the distrubutor cap & rotor at the same time.The 5.7's of that model and era had the Opti-Spark system and has been known to cause problems due to moisture in the cap.
The best cap & rotor kit for the money that I've found is through Summit Racing at $115 plus a little freight.You don't wanna know what the GM price is and don't even think about getting a cheapie(been there,done that,didn't last).
