I was just wondering how many of you guys make your living farming, or did farm in the past? I never farmed on my own, just worked for farmers when I was growing up (never finished that "growing-up" thing). My dad was a truck-driver,(got fond memories of hearing a Mack B-61 pulling 70 bales of cotton around the southeast on 2-lane highways) and when I was 12 I started working summers and after school for a cousin who farmed. Haven't been able to get trucks, tractors, and other assorted greasy things out of my head since. After other things, I wound up being a machinist at age 33. Have my own shop now, still like to play with tractors, and still don't know what I'm gonna be when I grow up. Just wondering. BTW, i'm 47 now.
