DownSouth said: (quoted from post at 07:11:12 01/30/10) I took this picture at the local Co-Op in March of 2005. At that time we as a nation were screaming rape due to the fuel prices, we were swearing would would all quit driving etc.
The price continued to go up as we all recall (remember $4 per gallon?) and we bit the bullet and paid it because we had to. Then the prices took a nose dive and we all felt a sigh of relief, but it seems they are slowly but surely creeping back up again. Heard any screaming lately? Don't have any more money now than I did then. In fact, according to my w-2's my income has dropped off some. I just figure there isn't any point wasting my breath crying about the prices as there is not much the consumer can do but pay what the money hog oil companies want us to pay. I have to go to work!.I just drive the vehicle that takes the least amount of gas to get me there and back.
