Fortune has provided me with Wife's approval to buy small belly mower tractor. Need your advice. She will be primary operator. We have small yuppie farm, 2 - 3 acres of grass to cut, a 1/2 acre garden and a 1.5 acre crop field that we rotate. ???? What would be a good bellymower tractor that would meet these requirements: * Around (perferably UNDER) 2000 lbs. * Around/Under $2500. * Hydraulic system (to lift deck & implements) preferably live pump (keeps running with clutch in) * Would be nice w/ 3pt hitch; but not must have. * 540 rpm rear pto; preferably live * already has or can easily mount up a Woods type bellymower. * Common model for good parts availability. * will be used to cut grass, cultivate garden, pull wagons, disk or roto-til garden. All I can think of are Allis - B or IHC A ; however neither of these come with the hydraulics nor 3pt.
any good ideas you have of types and models would be appreciated. As my wife will be primary operator, a womans point of view based on personal experience would be welcome. thanks, Drawbar, Wisconsin.
