i had one of those stories happen today but with a happy ending though.i am plumbing up a woodsplitter to my mf-165 diesel i get it al ready for a test run hit the starter and she just clicks so i clean the battery terminals and she still clicks so i clean them again hoping maybe one was a little loose but she just still clicks.so i will just short it across the solenoid and see if it starts might just be the solenoidso i stick my screw driver in there and she fires right up.only thing i can think of is there must a been alittle oil laying around the starter area because when the little spark from my screw driver immediatly started a small fire that quickly spread to about 8in high and a foot long .so no problem i just grab my fire extinguisher off the back of my welding/service truck pull the trigger and guess what nothing so luckily it had been snowing alittle about an inch on the ground so i start packing the starter area with wet snow and finally got it out. luckily it was snowing because any water was 300 yards away down to the house and other barn could a lost her real easy today.
