John Deere bought the Van Brunt company in 1911 so if the drill was built from that time on it's actually a John Deere. (They DID keep painting the Van Brunt name on the seed hoppers up into the 50's.)
If "F" or "FB" is the correct model # or you figure out the model # you can view and print out the parts catalog for free @ jdparts.com.
(Seems to me there is a model/serial # tag on the end of the hopper or the frame near one end of the machine.)
You can buy an operator's manual from Deere by phoning Deere Techpubs @ 1-800-522-7448.
If you ebay and are patient, you can probably pick up an owner's manual for a lot less on ebay.
