I found a web site that identifies what years 1020's were made. Check it out at http://www.sckans.edu/~alan/deeresn.html : I just purchased a JD 1020 tractor with : a front loader/bucket attachment. I'm trying : to figure out (a) what year it is, and (b) : if I got a good deal. It cost $5,600 and : it has 792 total hours on the dial. It was : used very little over the years from the : previous owner. Everything works but what : I'm really intersted in is finding out where : the serial number/model number is. The only : numbers I could find were on a metal tab : about 1 foot below the seat on the frame. : It said TYPE T4H3C MODEL 03736IT. Does : that shed any light on the tractor? : Any info on the JD 1020 tractor would be : wonderful. It's my first and will be used : around the lot to push things around to get : ready for a home construction project. : Thanks, : jbrogan : Maryland
