As a cruise ship was getting under way, the Captain recieved a note from a Southern lady on board as a passenger.
"This coming Thursday at 8:00 PM, we are hosting a coming out party for my daughter. I would like you to supply four young, handsome officers in their dress uniforms to act as escorts for young ladies. The officers must be well spoken and excellent dancers as they will be escorting refined Southern young ladies. One more thing, no Jews. I don't want any Jews."
At precisely 8:00 PM Thursday evening, the lady's door bell rang. Upon opening the door, she was met by four handsome, smiling black officers in immaculate dress uniforms. Taken aback, she finally managed to stammer, "I think there must be some sort of mistake."
The nearest officer smiled, "No, Ma'am. Captain Goldberg doesn't make mistakes."
