If you have an egg factory around, you can probably pick up some close to free retirees that will still do well in the better conditions you will be offering them. You will either have found your life's passion or have chicken nightmares. I had them for about 5 years before I had a rush of common sense. They just took more time than they were worth for me, you may have a different situation or priorities.
