Another similar one would be either 00 or 0 type grease or lube, similar to what older crawlers used to lube track rollers, there was actually a specific lube designated as such, but may be obsolete or difficult to find.
Now I forget which is which 00 or 0, but at least one of them is suited to the purpose of clinging and for applications where seals are prone to leak, the book on my Rhino SE-6 rotary cutter calls for one of these ( 00 or 0 )lubes for the gear box, I could not find that in a small quantity, so I used a Lucas 90 wt., must have had 00, 0 in there, as the 90 wt. does seep a little.
The old track roller lube and similar reminds me of chainsaw bar oil, stringy and tacky kind of a lube, JD cornhead grease is supposed to be similar, as are others mentioned here.
I have also used "85-140 Cling" not sure who makes it, but is more like those stringy/tacky type lubes.
