Shadetree: Belarus tractors are for the people who need a tractor at a price. When I was selling equipment, I found that even a Belarus dealer considered them to have nearly 50% depreciation per year. You would also have to consider that once you bought it, it's not worth much for a trade. The dealers I have worked for said up front, they did not want Belarus, Universal or Zetor tractors on a trade at any price at the cost of losing a deal. I have also heard that the engines are virtually bulletproof but there are problems elsewhere. They have improved signifigantly in the last few years. But if you are planning on big acres and still having a unit with some value in ten years, get something else. There are a lot of Belarus around here, but it's price that sold them. Tom
