you need to bleed the brakes, my 301 a, [a industrial version of the same tractor], does the same thing, i have to bleed them about every 6 to 8 months, they bleed just like a car does, the bleeders are on top of the rear axle houseing, back by where the housing flares into the pumpikin, have you checked the hydraulic fluid? the just incase the dipsticks back on the floor by your right heel, its a little knureled kob thing sitting there , unscrew it
