If I remember right Roy, the intake bolt holes in the 94 head are different the the 97. the angle is different. you will have to do some reaming to make it work. Do you plan on using the old set up or just the shortblock from the 94? The intake ports on the vortec heads are alot larger as well. GM makes an intake to run vortec heads on the 94 engine with the throttle body. Good luck, Charles
