Hi The winch I made can be seen at Oak Tree's site http://www.springfieldbiz.com/oaktree/tractor_pix.html There is lots of information at http://www.forestindustry.com And a wonderful magazine called Independent Sawmill And Woodlot Management PTO Winches are expensive...the major difference betwen PTO logging winches and other types of winches that could be used is that logging winches are designed to pull at 3-5 Feet per SECOND This may sound quite fast..but when you are pulling lots of logs hundreds of feet it really makes a difference. If you are very lucky you might be able to find a used one for around $1200. The Norse winches are the least expensive currently on the market. Good Luck Kim Hartshorn
