I just purchased a rebuilt generator for my TO30. I saw somewhere on this forum an article stating that you had to excite the generator to make it start charging? Rub its belly? No serious, what do I need to do? I believe I heard that one of the two wires leaving the generator to the regulator was used to excite the generator. Any help would be great. The new part is in place but not charging according to the amp meter.
