I posted a couple of messages earlier about a problem with the fuel delivery on old Oliver. I think I finally figured out the problem. The float was not adjusted properly. When I rebuilt it, I did EVERYTHING according to spec. When that didn't work along with about twenty other ideas about what the problem could be, I looked at the float a little closer and found that over prolonged use the base of the float that controls fuel flow into the bowl had become concave which threw the boats of the float off when I adjusted it to spec. SO I took a piece of flat stock and made the base of the float flat again, then I used the guess and check method until I finally got it to the proper level. Boy, those carbs are really touchy. Thanks for all of the advice I got, this is a great resource.
