Gary I assume you are working inside. I remember from the picture of that safe it was rusty. Have you applied any penatrating oil? I wonder if some of the lock is hanging up. Better yet send it out to Allen and let him open it. He loves a challenge!! Only problem is he probably won't sleep until it was done8-) Unless you already have, try the panther p. jt
