Hi , He'd make you a great companion ! Take him to the vet and have him scanned for a chip . We have two of our dogs microchipped and it got one returned to us from 35 miles away . We have 16 dogs ranging from a toy poodle ( Moose ) to a 130lb rottweiler ( Eli ) . The list includes a couple of mutts ( Stinker and Little Pee ) , a dalmation ( Diago ) , three different sizes of shelty ( Messy , Mick and Shelby ) , two huskies ( Kiea and Aspen - she's snow white with ice blue eyes ) , a pembroke welsh corgi ( River - the tailless kind ) , a chocolate lab ( Copper - the dumbest chocolate lab I've ever met ) a cattle style mutt type big dog ( Koby - excellent dog ) and three other dogs that live outside . Yes all the dogs but five live inside , at least at night and when it's cold or hot out . We used to rescue all breeds of animals but here in our neck of the state people look at animals in a different light , if it doesn't make a profit kill it . So we tried to save em all . We got up to twenty dogs and just couldn't afford it any longer . They are leaving us from old age now . The dalmation will probably be next , he's 12 and has a growth on his ribs . We got him because some old hunters were using him as target practice when he was a puppy . My wife ran the hunters off and he's the MOST awesome dog . He's not purebred but close enough . We have a bad story to tell about five or six of the present dogs still alive that we have . We did buy the rottweiler and the corgi . Can you tell we like dogs ? We also have about 15 cats but they stay outside in the mudroom or in the basement and no the dogs don't bother them . We also have 5 horses and one 10 year old chicken that crows ( I didn't know chickens lived this long ! And I spent all my summers on my grandparents egg farm in Georgia as a kid ) and a possum that lives with the cats ( no , the cats don't bother it ) . ...Randy

Today's Featured Article - New Life for an Old Allis - by Tyler Woods. My friend Jon, has an old '39 Allis Chalmers B. He thought it a marginal tractor that had long since served its time. She smoked terribly and never had much power but he couldn't afford another so he was limping along with what he had. Jon's Allis has a small front loader and though it doesn't carry much, it serves his needs. It was the hard starting and low power that made him think it was time to replace the old girl. Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start ... [Read Article]
