I learned to run tractor on a Ford 6600 ex-government loader tractor. It had a heavier front axle under it than usual, lots of hydraulics, and a god-awful massive Boss front-end loader on it. The first thing I did was pull the post-pounder around, then moved bales and fed cattle with it. Running a loader isn't the best way to introduce someone to driving a tractor, but it does work. And, surprisingly, I only wrecked one set of bale spears! ;-)
