Check your parts, points set closely. I have found "cheap" points sets that didn"t have any bushing on the arm pivot pin, the arm was only on the pin. These points may stick open,and quickly wear the pivot. Some "cheap" points don"t have any lube wick. Some "better" points have the bushing, the lube wick, and a separate copper conductor from the points to the connector for the lead-in wire. You get what you pay for, If you"re lucky.
