1955 Ford 640 with loader: When I raise the loader, the hydraulic system is quite noisy. I'm not sure if I'm missing any power (I haven't done anything to really challange it) or not. Hard to explain the noise (groaning/screeching?), but it's annoying and it just doesn't sound right. Should I get a pump repair kit (I have the shop manual and part catalog) or just live with it? I have some hose leaks but I'm looking for a hose maker to fix that issue.
