Got home from work early. Did my usual daily check-in: US Mail, voicemail, email and female. Then I went down on the front porch and have been sitting there barefoot having an iced tea. It's a beautiful day here. Big fluffy, cumulous clouds but mostly a bluebird sky. Lots of sun. Almost too warm but still pleasant. Nights are much cooler now. Go out after 10 pm and you'll want for a sweater. Aint going to get any warmer. Fall is coming. 2 months from now it'll be Deer hunting and there will be snow on the ground. A lasting snow that will stay till March. There's a lot of things I could or would or should be doing. But they all require shoes. So I'm just going to say manana. And I'm going to go back out onto the porch and finish my tea and catch a glimpse of the paper and just kind of be glad I was stricken by this need to idley enjoy the last of these very fine days.
