Hi Gang; In late 1949 Nuffield (who owned Morris cars) launched a new farm tractor based on the "best" (?) designes around at that time. The Universal 4 was 4 cylinder. In the late 1950's to compete with the Fordson Dexta & MF35 & IH 250, they launched the 342 shown here which was a scale down sized Universal 4. 3 cylinder diesel 42HP, 5 F & 1R gearbox. Not as popular as the other makes in this size & HP. Quite high weight to power ratio. This one is in for an engine rebuild at a "vintage tractor dealer". Cheers David
