I wonder if that was old Henry's idea. Ford had ideas about "cottage" industry. He set up plants in Michigan ( Nankin Mills, Northville valve) that had a product to make, and the help was supposed to be the local farmers. And this area of the country is full of ford tractors. One reason is that Ford employees could buy them under thier "A" plan - company discount, and payroll deduction. My wifes uncle has a Jubilee that he bought new. Actually his son has it, he has gone to wherever Ford guys go.... I am curious about this because I am thinking about getting some different stuff for my Farmall H.
