There are some CRAZY prices over here in England being paid for quite rare classic tractors from the 1960's & 70's. With money invested today bringing in around 4.5% before tax, theres no point in having a piece of paper to look at compared to a nice tractor that you can have fun with. Some farmers have given up farming themselves and are renting our their farms and selling their current machinery. Tax laws here let them use that money to buy (antique) tractors as a tax break. Shame becuase high prices mean that younger collectors cant afford to get into this great hobby. Hope you US farmers are having a better time than we are here in England. Regards David

New Life for an Old Allis - by Tyler Woods. My friend Jon, has an old '39 Allis Chalmers B. He thought it a marginal tractor that had long since served its time. She smoked terribly and never had much power but he couldn't afford another so he was limping along with what he had.
