I had the service manager at the Dodge Dealer where I had bought my Dodge/Cummins new ask me if I wanted to change the plugs while I had the truck in for other service. I said "What kind of plugs, did you mean glow plugs?", seeing as how maybe he thought my truck was the kind of Diesel that needed glow plugs. But he said "Spark Plugs". Now I was faced with gently trying to educate him that my truck was a Diesel and Diesels did not use spark plugs (except on those old Internationals that started on gas then switched to Diesel but I sure he didn't mean those). Let alone the fact that Cummins's do not use glow plugs anyway, but I was trying to give him at least a little bit of credit. They didn't sell very many Diesels there but I would think that the service manager would at least know the basics about Diesels. Needless to say, for engine or fuel system related matters I went elsewhere.
