Fellow, I sure cant play it but can listen with the best of them. Ive not heard any similar sounding pickers lately who pluck the bass with their thumbs on the bass strings and pick melody up on the higher ones (didnt Mother Maybelle kinda start all that???) but have been curious lookin for others. I doubt any knock offs who try to pick like him would go anywhere as he was one of a kind and theres not that much demand for what he was able to do anymore. I love the song he wrote and sang about his dad. I saw him play Wildwood Flower on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry and heard Roy Acuff sing Wabash Cannonball there so I guess Im complete now lol John T
