My Dad grew strawberries in Northern Wisconsin. He tried all types of different vegetable crops. Found the strawberries were the highest yield per acre of all. They are a lot of work but you can do ok with them. You must have irrigation. Sold some to stores in the area but then went to just “pick your own”. You don’t get as much for them that way but there is much less hassle with labor, delivery, store needs etc. By the way I still have lots of irrigation pipe for sale that was used for the strawberries if someone is in need.
