You have to remember the for sale ads are often the tractors they no longer want, or realise they need something better..... Not saying your analysis is wrong, just that it might not show the VALUE of the items or that the rarer items do not come up for sale because 1 - they are rarer and 2 - people tend to hang on to them much tighter.
