They explained more than I know about the TA, I have heard that they are a bear to rebuild but worth it when you are done. As for the JD 24T, $1,200 is very rich, even for a good one in good conditon ready to bale. You can find them much cheaper. As with any dealer, he paid much less for it. Take your time and find one already in use on a farm. Dealers are forced to have two prices on used equipment. The low price is when you sell it to them, it ain't worth "nothing". The same unit is worth a lot more when they are selling it.
