I can't speak to IB's thoughts on the subject But here's mine. Dating is to courting as living together is to marrage. Just like no fault divorce, when you are tired of dating someone you walk. Courting is more like buying something. You invest time, resources, and effort is the best possible deal you can get. In short, Dating infers no comitment, little investment, and when it's over, it over. Courting, on the other hand requires comitment, respect, and leads to one place, marrage. I think thats a lot of the problems with marrages today, it really is just a continuation of the dating process. Courting done propoerly (pick wisely) it last forever, because it more about the comitment than you.
