Yesterday three of us Manitobans took a road trip to North Dakota and purchased some Generic Ivermectin. I bought five, 5 liter jugs. Paid $532 CDN in total. Last fall the local vet clinic sold ONE JUG of Dectomax for $500. Pressure from loss of sales caused them to drop their price to $350 a jug. I figure I saved a lot of money yesterday. Night before last Pfizer sponsored a supper in our local community for customers of the vet clinc. After a presentaion on their new Bovi-Shield Gold they had a presentaion on these generics. Best they could come up with was nobody really knows how the generics will preform compared to the brand name ones, and that how their jugs were so special to help keep the product from breaking down. Told us if too much sales were lost Ivomec and Dectomax would be pulled off the market. I thought that last statment was a load of BS. They whinned that the cost of production kept them from lowering their price further, but they had still made enough money from people like me to host a free roast beef supper. These suppers are an annual affair all over our province, not just our area. John
