FoMoCo did have some problems with that tranny. At around 80,000 miles, my '93 F-150 had a chatter and chug when it shifted into over drive. Did alot of research on it because 3 differant shops said it needed a rebuild. Finally found one that said they had rebuilt alot of them, but found out that a flush and filter fixed 98% of them. Did that and it worked fine afterwards.
