Nelson, The other distributors will probably work maybe better? You may want more advance than the dist. for welder had. Any Pertronix dealer will have the electronic ignition kits for it and they can get the new Pertronix distributors for the Continentals in welders also. The dist. was changed up some on later Lincoln welders to a different number also IBT-4705. I have mags too but you will probably spend more or as much on a mag as the electronic ignition would cost. Some of those older Continentals also used a inverted upside down mount mag to clear the carburetor and those cost even more to fix and some parts aren't available. A new surplus military mag is available for them though. Good luck with it. Glen
