I bought an '88 Ranger back in 1992. it was a real mess! And needed everything repaired or replaced. I only paid $800 for it. It had the 2.0 4 cyl. in it, 5 speed tranny. The former owner really beat that truck to death. Well, i put $500 in parts in it, and it ended up to be a reliable piece! I drove it for ten years, but in the end, i gave it to a friend for his farm, to haul stuff around the farm. I called it my 10 mile truck, because, if it broke down more than 10 miles from home, it would cost more than it was worth to tow it home! And, as near as i can figure, it had close to 300,000 miles on it! Then, a friend asked me if i knew anybody looking for a cheap pickup, a 91 Ranger, 5 speed, 2.3L engine, $500! Well, guess what--its now being driven by me! And, it has only 185,000 + miles on it! Doesn't burn any oil, runs great, i can go further than ten miles in it, and next spring it gets the bed sides fixed! by: rustyj

Jon's Allis has a small front loader and though it doesn't carry much, it serves his needs. It was the hard starting and low power that made him think it was time to replace the old girl. Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start
