Cub Reproduction Grill

I purchased a reproduction grill for my 1949 cub project. The grill does not fit properly. It appears to by about 1/4 to 1/2 inch to short in width. I measured the grill at 19 1/2 inches. The tractor measurement looked like 20 inches would provide a better fit. Could someone measure their original cub grill and see what it measures. I used a non stretch string to lay on the grill frame, measuring outside of frame to outside at top, not measuring the attachment brackets.
