Doug, Thanks for the reply. Not knowing any better, I had topped off the transmission with 60 wt gear oil, I didn't have a manual at the time, but now it appears the three fingers on the forward drive gear have sheared off to the point they can't keep the clutch packs in alignment. There's nothing left for them to grab. So I'll need another forward drive gear at a minimum. Having a spare transmission, and an extra mower my wife can use to speed up the mowing process would be great. Transmission's coming out tonight and getting torn down. My mower has a single cylinder Wisconsin (AGND) engine. The transmission has two circular inspection plates, one for forward and one for reverse. I know what you mean about dropping the spring, almost happened to me last week. If you happen to get up there this afternoon and can get a name and phone number of this guy, I'd appreciate if you could drop me a line and let me know. Thanks, Kurt
