Yes you can use the same paint on the sheet metal that you use on the case. Most paint manufactures will suggest what primer & reducers to use, some primers will not adhere to some top coat paint. We painted a hood off a Case 1190 the other day with Case paint & Case primer & reducer, the top coat would not stick to the primer. We had to remove it all & after switching the reducer & primer everything went fine. However let me caution you that if using an acrylic enamel paint BE SURE TO USE THE RIGHT REDUCER TO MATCH THE TEMPERATURE THAT YOU ARE PAINTING IN, otherwise you can have all kinds of problems.
