I have been looking for a loader for my MF255 50hp tractor. I like the MF236 and the Bush Hog 2426/2425 and 2400. However have been unable to find one that is priced within my means. A dealer has an Allied 394 with standard cylindars that seems to be priced right but I am concerned that 5X5 or 6X6 bales of hay baled in a JD baler with a 130 to 140 hp tractor may stress this unit to the higher end. It probably would be OK with a set of the optional cylindars that would be extra. I really like what I have seen of the Bush Hog, I just haven't found one not on a tractor that someone is willing to part with. Allied's website indicates that the 395, 495 and 595 are matches for the MF255 each one just a little stronger/heavier than the previous one. My friend and I normally handle about two hundred rolls of hay a year. IS THE 394 ALLIED LOADER TOO SMALL ON MY MF255 FOR WHAT I WILL BE HANDLING? Thanks for any insite.
