'51 Oliver 66 been sitting for a few years (3 to 5). It seems to start smokin' (blueish) when the engine warms up, from the cold to the work position on the gauge. It stays that way the whole time the engine is warm. Now it seems that it started doing this when I installed a thermastat, wern't any before, and the oil restrictor tube was installed. There wasn't any previous tube to filter the oil and provide the oil pressure. Also seems too the front seal is now leaking where it didn't before when we first got things running (starting restore). I have yet to check the cyclinder compression and plan to do so to see if the rings needs replaced and now causing blow by from the higher oil pressure. I'll be pulling the head and dropping the pan to check and get stuff cleaned up. Any thoughts? Do I sound like I'm on the right track?
